Things are changing pretty fast in the global car market. Just a decade ago, most of the car enthusiasts were skeptic about electric cars and most of them though that they are a far future. However, it is now clear that hybrid and electric cars are overtaking the market. Conventional internal combustion engines will soon be a history. The whole traffic is expected to be electrified in upcoming decades and hybrid cars are seen as a perfect interim solution. So, pretty much all carmakers already have a whole palette of hybrid models in their offer. Most of the experts predict that hybrid cars will take over the market in next decade. 2019 Audi Q4 Hybrid
The first model from our list is 2019 Audi Q4 Hybrid. This will be a completely new model. It is a small and sporty crossover that comes in close relation to the new generation of a more familiar Q3. This will be some kind of a coupe-like version, with the sloping roof and sportier stance. The new model will come with conventional diesel and gasoline engines, but also with a plug-in hybrid version on the offer. The exact numbers are still unknown. 2019 Audi Q9 Hybrid
Another completely new model is coming from Ingolstadt. This time, it is a new flagship model, which will be a full-size crossover. The new models will ride on the same platform as the new A8 sedan and it will borrow many design solutions from the famous saloon. This includes hybrid powertrain too. The new crossover will be available in a hybrid variant, which will include a 3.0-liter Supercharged V6 gasoline engine in a whole system. We still don’t know exact details, but various reports suggest that the new powertrain will feature a max output of 450 horsepower, which will definitely put the new crossover on the top in the segment of premium crossovers. 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid
The Korean manufacturer will not offer a completely new vehicle. Its famous crossover will get an electrified version and come as 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid. The next generation of a familiar SUV will come with plenty of novelties, including new hybrid powertrain. This isn’t official yet, but the company has announced that more than 30 from Hyundai and Kia will have their low-emissions versions by 2020, which is a great indicator. The testing model has been spotted for a few times and we noticed that it doesn’t have exhaust pipes, so an all-electric version is also quite possible. 2019 Mini Countryman Hybrid
Well, the hybrid version of this small crossover actually won’t be something new. This model is already available on the market. It features a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and combines it with the hi-output 90-hp electric motor. The gasoline engine powers front, while electric motor sends power to rear axle. For the next year, 2019 Mini Countryman Hybrid will most likely come with a new battery pack. The current 7.6-kWh battery will be replaced by some with more capacity. This will provide better economy, but also a longer all-electric range, which currently goes around 26 miles. 2019 Porsche 911 Hybrid
For now, sports cars usually stay away from hybrid technology. The number of these models is quite small, but if the most iconic sports car of all time comes in this manner, we could expect that the rest will do the same. At the moment, chances for this scenario are weak, at least for the next year. The company waits to see how the new Panamera Hybrid will go. To remind you, this model came with a new hybrid powertrain that outputs 680 horsepower and 626 pound-feet of torque. 2019 Skoda Superb Hybrid
We are now going to the completely another side of VW Group, where things are pretty clear. The Czech manufacturer is known in Europe and some other parts of the world for its excellent balance between price and quality. Its flagship sedan, Superb, is a mid-size car which will be one of the first models that will come with VW’s new technology of all-electric cars. However, we will first see the arrival of the hybrid version, which will be some kind of an introduction for the eventual arrival of all-electric version. 2019 VW Golf 8 Hybrid
Next year will bring us the eight generation of the second greatest compact car in the world. The new generation of the famous hatchback will come with plenty of innovations. The all-electric version of the current generation is already present for some time. So, VW engineers are pretty familiar with the electrification of this model. The new model will come with the upgraded version of famous MQB platform, which will bring many improvements. However, one of the most interesting things will definitely be a new mild hybrid version, which will come as 2019 VW Golf 8 Hybrid. 2019 VW Touareg Hybrid
After a pretty long time, Volkswagen management has finally realized that fossil fuels won’t last forever. So, they are slowly turning to electric vehicles. As you probably heard, they promised five electric cars by 2025. Until then, we will see series of hybrid models, including 2019 VW Touareg Hybrid. The new generation of a familiar crossover is about to come next year and it will closely resemble the recently-presented T-Prime Concept GTE. It will include a hybrid powertrain in the offer. 2019 Honda Pilot Hybrid
Unlike German, Japanese carmakers work on hybrid cars for years and they are definitely masters in this segment of the car industry. The Pilot is definitely one of the best mid-size crossovers around and it is the real wonder that we haven’t seen its electrified version so far. The new generation came last year, and a hybrid version will probably come next year. The 2019 Honda Pilot Hybrid will most likely use the same powertrain as new Accord. 2019 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid
Another excellent model from the Japanese manufacturer that should come electrified next year is a 2019 Honda Ridgeline Hybrid. The famous pickup is known for its unusual unibody architecture. It is definitely one of the best models in class. So, it will be quite interesting to see its hybrid version. Honda didn’t confirm this version yet, although some reports suggest its arrival already next year. 2019 Toyota Prius V Crossover
The last model from our list and definitely one of the most interesting ones is 2019 Toyota Prius V Crossover. The world’s largest carmaker prepares a new generation of the most iconic hybrid car of all time. The new generation will include various variants and one of the will be this compact SUV.
