You may not be familiar, but there were big plans for the hybrid version several years ago. This small car originally came in 2010. After initial success, the company wanted to offer a hybrid version. We saw a concept car two years later, but it never entered serial production. Now, when the company prepares a second-generation model, we hear stories about hybrid version once again. The new model will come with plenty of changes and it will be such a shame not to see this version in the offer. According to some unofficial reports, this version is coming for sure and it will feature new powertrain, which will provide not only great numbers in terms of economy but exciting drive too.

As we already mentioned, the first-generation model also supposed to have a hybrid version in the offer, but it all stayed in form of a concept. This small car will be available with the various powertrain. We already used on excellent gasoline and diesel units. There is an excellent 1.4-liter gasoline unit, which is good for about 140 horses. However, the better option will surely be a familiar 1.6-liter TDI engine. Besides plenty of power and torque, it will also feature excellent fuel economy. It should go all away up to 70 miles per gallon. A hybrid powertrain will be something completely new. We still don’t know the exact details, but some reports suggest that this version will feature more power than both gasoline and diesel version. On the other side, fuel economy will be better than the gasoline, but still weaker compared to the excellent diesel TDI engine.
