The original model came in 1981 and we have seen six generations of it so far. Designed primarily for developing markets, it is available in many countries of the world, including India, Malaysia, Brazil and even Japan. The current generation is present since 2014, but the company already did a facelift for the current model.

It features a 1.5-liter diesel engine, which has a max output of 100 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque. It comes in a pair with a 6-speed automatic transmission. As we already mentioned, fuel consumption is amazing and it easily goes over 70 mpg in a combined drive.

The 2018 Honda City Hybrid will come somewhere late in the year. The base price will go around 20.500 dollars, which is for about 8.000 more compared to the base gasoline model.
