The Japanese carmaker has prepared to amazed its buyers with a luxury concept car 2018 Lexus UX 250h. The first glimpse of this concept car was unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. From the photo released by the automaker, this model is a stunner from outside and quite impressive from outside.
This new entry model, UX will slot below the NX. It is revealed that the UX lineup will initially be made up of three models named UX200, UX 250, and UX250h. The last model will get a hybrid engine under its hood. Its powerful and futuristic body will appeal to the compact crossover segment, especially young buyers.
2018 Lexus UX 250h – Futuristic and Modern Look
Speaking of dimensions, the 2018 Lexus UX sits beneath the larger NX model. It sits on the TNGA platform and shares its underpinnings with the new Toyota C-HR. This model is created by the automaker’s European Design Center, showcasing the design team’s excellent craftsmanship.
The designers have taken the automaker’s bold design language to a higher level. The UX concept is 4400 mm lengthy and sits on a 2640 mm wheelbase. This new Lexus UX will ride on larger wheels, perhaps on 21-inch ones and feature a unique design. This five-door body will feature muscular wheel arches, angular accent lines and a coupe car like roofline.
Its futuristic and modern design features many angles and curves all over the body. On the front fascia, the carmaker’s well-known spindle grille is seen. Its long, sharp and distinctive headlamps, equipped with LED lighting, give the whole front, an aggressive look. The tail lights will also have a sharp design with LED internal unit.
Very Luxury Interior
Inside, the 2018 Lexus UX 250h, will get a modern design too. The very luxurious, comfortable and tech-riddled cabin is expected with the all-new Kinetic seating. The seats are made exquisite materials and traditional craftsmanship for a classic and elegant touch. The cabin is likely to get an advanced infotainment system that involved front facing camera replacing wing mirrors.
2018 Lexus UX 250h – Engine Specifications
Like already mentioned, the Lexus will offer the UX in three models: UX200, UX250 and UX250h. So its engine will be powered by three drivetrains. The UX200 could get naturally aspirated four-cylinder 2.0-liter engine.
However, the UX250 is likely to get a four-cylinder 2.5-liter engine. This engine will be mated with CVT and based with front-wheel drive or extra charge four-wheel drive.
The 2018 Lexus UX 250h model will get a hybrid drivetrain. The performance details of these drivetrains are still unavailable. The powerful hybrid drive-train that will use one of the petrol engines will have a four-wheel drive option.
Debut Date and Cost of the 2018 Lexus UX 250h
The all-new 2018 Lexus UX 250 is expected to go on sale early 2018. As for the price, the information is still unknown, but it is likely that its price will slightly undercut the Audi Q5 to make it more appealing to the young buyers.
