After the recent premiere of the second generation, we are about to see its hybrid version soon, as 2018 Audi Q5 Hybrid. To remind you, this crossover came about years ago. The company had plans to launch a hybrid version soon after gasoline versions. However, it struggled in some aspects of hybrid technologies, so it came to the market in 2012. After five years of production, it will be replaced just like conventional gasoline and diesel models. The new models will come with plenty of improvements. Also, it definitely lacks in terms of personality. So, the exterior look definitely won’t be a trump of this model, but this is pretty much the case with all models from the German manufacturer. As we already mentioned, new 2018 Audi Q5 Hybrid will come with plenty of new things in terms of features. Although we didn’t get the exact specs of the new model, it is pretty much for sure that the list of standard features will be very rich. Some of the standard features should be 18-inch wheels, rain-sensing wipers, heated side mirrors and a power liftgate. When it comes to the interior features, expect extremely long list. Some of the highlights will be 12.3- inch screen, cruise control, eight-way power front seats, leather upholstery, heated seats and steering wheel etc. In terms of technologies, expect things like head-up display, bird’s-eye view parking camera, smartphone integration, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and automatic emergency braking and many other things. Besides all these standard features, there will be some optional packages that will offer more features in terms of safety, convenience, entertainment etc.

The 2018 Audi Q5 Hybrid will come with a new powertrain. Compared to the original, we will see improvements both in terms of power and economy. The new system will be more efficient. It will feature a new version of the familiar 2.0-liter gasoline engine. For this occasion, it will feature a little bit less power than the previous generation. Compared to 210 horses from the original, the new one will have around 190. However, the electric aspect of the powertrain will be far better. We will see almost two times more power and torque on the new electric motor. It will have a max output of 108 horses and over 260 pound-feet of torque. So, the whole system should provide a max output of over 280 horses, which is much more than the original. The new 2018 Q5 Hybrid will also feature a 30-mile all-electric range.

The 2018 Audi Q5 Hybrid should come by the end of the year, but the more precise date is still unknown. When it comes to the price, the new model should feature starting price somewhere between 50.000 and 55.000 dollars.
