According to the latest reports, the 2018 Ford Focus Electric will come without bigger changes. We can legally say that this car is a pretty mature competitor in the segment of electric cars. It is present since 2011. The famous American manufacturer has one of the most popular compact hatchbacks in the world. It is currently in the third generation and the company wanted to expand its offer and try something new. To remind you, this is the second all-electric vehicle that entered full production from this brand. The first one was Ranger. As we already mentioned, the 2018 Focus Electric should come without bigger changes. There are two reasons for that. The first one is that the last-year model came with some nice updates. However, the bigger reason is probably the launch of next generation, which should happen somewhere in a year or two.
2018 Ford Focus Electric redesign
So, the 2018 Ford Focus Electric will come pretty much without changes. This model dates from 2011, but it still looks quite attractive. It is derivate from the third-generation Focus, which is present from 2010. We didn’t see many updates so far and that state will remain. Simply, the new generation should come in next year or two, so there is no need for some bigger updates. If we consider that the 2017 year model came with some nice updates in terms of powertrain, it is pretty much for sure that next changes will come with the next generation. Until then, we will see pretty much the same car in the offer.
