2018 Mercedes-Benz S-class Hybrid – Engine Options
Buyers will have an option of engines to choose from. The 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-class Hybrid will be powered by 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 3.0-liter biturbo V6/electric-assist motor. It will be capable of producing 329/116 horsepower (436 combined).
The AMG S63 (4Matic) model comes with the 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 577 hp. However, the buyers who prefer more powerful engine can choose the AMG S65 (rear-wheel drive) model with 6.0-liter twin-turbo V-12. This one comes with the seven-speed automatic gearbox, producing 621 hp. It will be capable of traveling up to 31 miles in electric-only mode.
Cost and Launch Date of the 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-class Hybrid
The price of Mercedes-Benz S-class will receive a minor hike compared to its ongoing model. The S550 retail from $97,500, the S550 4Matic starts from $122,500. Finally, it is projected to be released to dealerships across the country, in late 2017.
