BMW wireless charging pad 2018 details
The prototype of the new pad has been presented already and we believe that the production model will feature pretty much the same characteristics. It featuresĀ a base plate with an integrated primary coil, which can be used both outside and in the garage. The car features a secondary coil, which is positioned the vehicle floor. When you put these two coils close enough, an alternating field is generated between, with an output of up to 3.2 kW which can be transmitted inductively.
