The Porsche Company gave us a huge surprise at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show with dropping Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo Concept. German carmaker’s newest EV concept hits the show with some huge promises and we must say, everything about this four-door model is fast. Not only the overall speed but charging also. E Cross Turismo’s range 310 miles and the superfast charging is amazing, 15 minutes of charging adds 250 miles of range.

The concept comes with newest 800-volt charging technology and the overall design is sleek and beautiful. Mission E Cross Turismo model is built on the sedan platform, and Porsche announced that even cabriolet and coupe models will be made at some point.

The higher chassis and body cladding are in the past now, as the first Mission E will hit the markets as a low and sleek model. The fact that this is a concept car means you can also forget about the clap-hands door. Basically, the design is pretty much the same as the Panamera model but on lower spring where the roof is not that extended. Porsche’s design chief Michael Mauer claims that the company’s newest concept is built on a sedan platform.

He also adds that the body is made of a combination of materials, and that includes aluminum panels and magnesium castings. Have in mind that Porsche 911 is lighter than its competitor’s thanks to this kind of approach. Furthermore, have in mind that the upcoming Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo is shorter than Panamera. The German automaker announced that the coupe and cabriolet models are very likely to happen in the near future.

Most of the switches inside the cabin are on glass touch panels and the seats come with more padding. The upcoming Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo Concept will have a plenty of smart features. The new app allows customers to choose music, lighting, air conditioning and navigation even when they are now inside the vehicle. The driver display comes with eye-tracking control and a rearview mirror camera.

There is even a passenger display that also offers eye-tracking control and touchscreen as well. Even the passenger can now control media, air conditioning, and navigation.

The latest Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo can hit 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds. Those numbers aren’t official, it is a simulation, but Porsche claims that the numbers are same in real testing. Top speed is 155 mph. Porsche Mission E Cross comes with the basic layout with dual electric motors and a floorboard battery.

The most powerful version will make almost 600 HP and will feature a three-motor setup. The permanent magnet motors are completely new and have a range of 310 miles. Thanks to a superfast charging, 15 minutes of charging is enough to make a range of 250 miles. All this comes with new 800-volt charging technology.

No words on when this concept will become available for purchase. Everyone hopes that the upcoming Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo will arrive before 2020, but Porsche will take their time for sure. Coupe and convertible are officially not yet confirmed but will come out at some point in the future.

On the official Porsche’s YouTube channel you can watch a video for a better experience. The video shows new feature where the driver is pressing a screen in order to release the drone that flies above the car and capture images of the drive.
